The Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters, celebrating its 75th Diamond Jubilee this year, is accepting nominations to honor a Mountain State journalist with the West Virginia Lifetime Achievement Award for broadcast excellence.
Consider recognizing a member of your team--someone who has made significant contributions to news reporting, management, or education in broadcasting for a minimum of 20 years in the West Virginia broadcast journalism community. The years need not be consecutive.
Please email your nominations by Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, to Eric Douglas(edouglas@wvpublic.org), Lifetime Achievement Award chair, with a letter detailing your nominee's background, and accomplishments and why he/she should win the award.
The award is contingent on the honoree being able to attend the Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Mar. 23, 2024, at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. A family member may accept the award on the recipient’s behalf if the award is given posthumously. If the winner cannot commit to coming, his/her nomination will be considered for next year’s Award.
Thank you!
